Core Lithium shakes hands with CSI Mining Services on Finniss Lithium Project crushing contract

The crusher civil works at Finniss are nearing completion and CSI is expected to start mobilising to the site in June.

Core Lithium Ltd (ASX:CXO) has awarded a crushing contract for the Finniss Lithium Project in the Northern Territory of Australia to CSI Mining Services.

The ASX-lister, which is on track to become Australia’s next lithium producer, is working to bring the cornerstone project online and deliver its first batch of spodumene concentrate before year’s end.

After inking the binding crushing services agreement with CSI, Core is one step closer to that goal.

Managing director Stephen Biggins said: “The award of the crushing contract is another significant step in the development of the Finniss Lithium Project.

“Core staff have done a great job getting the site ready for CSI to start work next month.”

The crusher civil works at Finniss are nearing completion and CSI is expected to start mobilising to site in June.

Down the line, Finniss’ run of mine ore will be stockpiled before it’s fed into CSI’s crusher circuit.

From here, the crushed ore will be stockpiled before it’s processed by the dense media separation plant, where Core will make spodumene concentrate for export.

About Core

Core claims Finniss as Australia’s newest lithium project and believes it’s the most advanced lithium play on the local bourse.

Once online, the project will establish Core as a new player in a global industry — one that’s increasingly in the spotlight as the electric vehicle market heats up.

The Federal Government awarded Major Project Status to the Finniss Project in March last year, branding the lithium play as a strategically significant asset.

From its tactical location near Darwin Port, Finniss is poised to provide the globe with high-grade and high-quality lithium that’s suitable for batteries used to power electric vehicles and renewable energy storage.
