Greencare Capital PLC (AQSE:GRE) said chief executive Richard Tonthat will be stepping down with immediate effect in order to pursue other business interests.
Guy Winterflood, a non-executive director is also stepping down, while Dominic White and Martin Walton are joining the board as non-executive chairman and non-executive director respectively.
White joins the investment company focused on medicinal cannabis and CBD products with 25 years of experience in the investment sector, Greencare said in a statement.
The London-listed company said White has “managed more than £3bn of assets in the UK and Europe across multiple sectors”.
He has also held both executive and non-executive board positions at public and international investment companies and is currently an executive chairman at AQSE-listed Eight Capital Partners PLC (AQSE:ECP), as well as sitting on the board of other private firms.
“Greencare will continue to actively pursue acquisition and investment opportunities of varying size in the cannabis and wellbeing space,” White said.
Walton has “many years' experience at board level” within the life science and biotech sector, as well as investment and commercial banking.
Currently, he is chief executive of Bradshaw Consulting, an advisory group for getting returns in the life sciences and tech sector, as well chairman of stem cell company Reneuron Group.
Previously, he co-founded Arix Bioscience and Arthurian Life Sciences, as well as holding senior positions at Standard Bank and Toronto-Dominion Bank.
