Creo Medical Group sales momentum continuing into 2022

The US saw a record month for cases performed using Speedboat Inject

Creo Medical Group PLC (AIM:CREO) said overall revenue for the year ended 31 December 2021 is expected to be just over £25mln - in line with the upgraded market expectations for the year.

Revenues in the first quarter have been strong, the medical device group said, supported by the reopening of markets post COVID-19 and the resultant backlog of demand for elective procedures, increased training and adoption of Creo's Speedboat Inject device.

Case volumes have also increased quarter-on-quarter in the US, EMEA and Asia-Pacific markets with the US seeing a record month for cases performed using Speedboat Inject.

"The acquisition of Albyn Medical, bringing direct sales representation and complementary products to the group, has led to significant growth of users and training sites in UK, Spain, France, and Belgium," the statement added.

Craig Gulliford, chief executive, said he was delighted with the start to the year. “We have seen increased training and adoption of clinicians using Speedboat Inject, with March 2022 being our record month for US cases performed using the device.

"The new 'pioneer' training programme demonstrates our commitment to continually improving our training standards to ensure that clinicians are properly educated on the safe use of our products, and become long-term users of our technology.”
