Cloudbreak Discovery PLC (LSE:CDL) said it acquired the Foggy Mountain gold-silver-copper project in British Columbia, Canada.
The project is located immediately east of Centerra Gold Inc’s copper-gold Kemess project and lies along a mineralized corridor containing several past producing mines, including Shasta, Baker, Lawyers and Kemess.
Foggy Mountain covers around 4,210 hectares over three claim blocks. Historic surface grab samples include 0.3 grammes a tonne (g/t) gold, 12.9 g/t silver and “overlimit” copper above 1%; 0.14 g/t gold, 38.4 g/t silver and overlimit copper above 1%; and 3.74 g/t gold, 5.1 g/t silver, and 0.94% copper.
“The overall style of mineralization reported in the historic work on the property is similar to that observed at Kemess South, which produced 2.978mln ounces of gold and 794mln pounds of copper during its 13-year production life,” said the London-listed company.
Cloudbreak chief executive Kyler Hardy noted that British Columbia is a prolific contributor of copper and gold.
“Foggy Mountain is yet another exploration target to add to Cloudbreak's extensive and growing portfolio of projects,” he said.
