Fabled Copper says airborne survey has identified new anomalies on its Muskwa copper project in British Columbia

The Davis Keays UAV drone mission survey was flown to generate high-resolution photogrammetry datasets for the vein target to better understand bedrock controls on copper mineralization

Fabled Copper Corp revealed results from last year’s field work campaign at its Muskwa copper project in British Columbia.

The 2021 exploration program included five selected areas surveyed by an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) photogrammetry survey over the Harris, Eagle, Neil and Magnum veins, according to a release.

The Davis Keays UAV drone mission survey was flown to generate high-resolution photogrammetry datasets for the vein target to better understand bedrock controls on copper mineralization, Fabled Copper said in a statement.

Additionally, the survey’s aim was to generate high resolution Digital Terrain Models (DTMs) to assist with 3D modelling of the targets, and gather baseline imagery to record current state of surface disturbance at sites that Fabled said will be “actively explored in coming years.”

Data products generated include 3 to 23 centimetre resolution color orthophoto mosaics, Digital Surface Models (DSM) and Digital Terrain Models (DTM). Hillshade models were also generated for each target area, the company said.

The data generated from the Hill Shade digital model was used for in-field targeting of visual copper occurrences on the color orthophoto due to the 3 centimetre resolution which lead to field examination of the mineralized unit to sampling of the Magnum vein where a total of 20 samples were collect as a first pass evaluation, according to Fabled.

“The mineral probability map for gossan shows three large anomalies occurring in the vicinity of the Eagle vein and to the north of it,” the company told investors.

Fabled said that a field crew will further sample in detail the Eagle vein area and ground truth around the gossan anomalies.

Sampling results from the Davis Keays Eagle vein deposit should be available in the coming weeks, the firm added.

The Muskwa project comprises a total of 76 claims in two non-contiguous blocks and totals approximately 8,064.9 hectares, located in the Liard Mining Division in northern British Columbia.
