Doubleview Gold reveals new analytical data showing scandium grades from the Lisle deposit at its Hat project in British Columbia

The company said that metallurgical analysis is underway for different metals that could have a “significant material impact” on how Doubleview’s copper and gold equivalents are reported

Doubleview Gold Corp (TSX-V:DBG, OTCQB:DBLVF) has reported scandium analytical data from previously reported drill intercepts from the Lisle deposit at its Hat deposit in British Columbia.

In a statement, the company said that metallurgical analysis is underway for different metals that could have a “significant material impact” on how Doubleview’s copper and gold equivalents are reported.

Metallurgical analysis is currently focusing on scandium, silver and platinum group metals (PGMs) such as platinum and rhodium, the company said.

Scandium assays are not currently included in copper and gold equivalents, it added.

Doubleview also updated copper and gold equivalents inclusive of cobalt and palladium, which were not previously reported.

Highlights from the drill core intercepts include 27.5 grams per ton (g/t) scandium in one hole that totaled 392.1 metres at 0.48% copper equivalent and 0.62 g/t gold equivalent.

Another hole returned 30.3 g/t scandium in a hole that totaled 418.3 g/t at 0.53% copper equivalent and 0.68 g/t gold equivalent.

Early stages of exploration

Farshad Shirvani, Doubleview’s CEO, told shareholders that the firm is still in the early stages of exploring the Hat deposit, with only 41 drill holes sunk in the property.

“Time and again the consistency of the results of this ever-growing porphyry system are extraordinary,” Shirvani said in a statement. “With every drill campaign the company has expand the Hat deposit's footprint.”

Shirvani also noted that metal markets are facing uncertainties of supply coupled with rapidly-expanding demands of traditional and new developing industries, many of which are related to climate change issues.

“The ability of global mineral resources to continue supporting the basic needs of an ever-growing population is increasingly in question and has accelerated research into the identification and extraction of all metals in a sustainable and responsible manner,” the CEO added.

“Doubleview is pleased to be supporting current metallurgical research into the characteristics of the Hat deposit that will enhance its value and, incidentally, may have applications elsewhere in British Columbia's mining sector."

Vancouver-based Doubleview identifies, acquires and finances precious and base metal exploration projects in North America, particularly in British Columbia.
