Synairgen PLC (AIM:SNG, OTC:SYGGF) shares got a boost from the company presenting at the European Congress of Clinical Microbiology & Infectious Diseases (ECCMID).
The respiratory company developing SNG001, an investigational formulation for inhalation containing the broad-spectrum antiviral protein interferon beta, presented the sub-group analysis from its Phase 2, SG016 study on Saturday 23 April in an oral presentation.
The shares rose 2.8% to 23.94p as the company presented the positive results of this Phase 2 study (SG016) in the hospital setting; the results were first announced in July 2020 and published in The Lancet Respiratory Medicine in November 2020.
3.25pm: Mila Resources surges on "exceptional assays"
Mila Resources PLC (LSE:MILA) added one-sixth to its value after reporting “exceptional assays” from its Kathleen Valley gold project in Western Australia.
The objective of the drill programme is to build on the existing JORC inferred resource and unlock the full potential of the project, which is located in a region which hosts some of the largest gold projects in Australia and which is adjacent to Bellevue Gold's discoveries.
Among the highlights from the first five of the 11 diamond core holes was 6.6 metres (m) grading 14.86 grams per tonne gold (g/t) and 21.79 g/t silver from 209.40m, and 3m grading 6.9 g/t gold and 21.62 g/t silver from 200m.
2.30pm: Panther Securities sees profits soar after swap liabilities swing
Panther Securities PLC (LSE:PNS), the property investment company, soared 24% to 340p after its full-year profits rocketed.
Profit for 2021 rose to £15.9mln from £2.6mln in 2020, thanks to a £16.8mln adjustment in the company’s swap liabilities following the market’s expectations of higher interest rates down the road.
Operating profit for the year under review amounted to £7,701,000 compared to £6,704,000 for the previous year ended 31 December 2020.
1.35pm: Anglo American gets knockback in Chile
Anglo American PLC (LSE:AAL) said the Environmental Assessment Service of Chile (SEA) has recommended that the permitting application for the Los Bronces integrated project be rejected.
The FTSE 100 miner’s shares were off 5.9% at 3,255p in afternoon trading, making them among the worst blue-chip performers today.
Anglo American has been engaged in an environmental assessment process for its Los Bronces Integrated Project in Chile since 2019.
12.40pm: Zoo Digital full of animal spirits after upgrading guidance
Zoo Digital Group PLC leapt 5.8% to 119.5p after releasing a full-year trading update.
The provider of end-to-end, cloud-based localisation and media services to the global entertainment industry has upgraded its revenue and underlying earnings guidance (EBITDA) for the year just ended.
Revenue for the full year is now expected to be about US$70 million (FY21: US$39.5 million), while EBITDA (adjusted for share-based payments) is also expected to be materially ahead of the previously upgraded expectations at roughly US$8 million, an increase of around 78% on the prior year (FY21: US$4.5 million).
11.45am: CentralNic flying after upgrading guidance
CentralNic Group PLC (AIM:CNIC) expressed confidence that it will “materially exceed” market expectations for 2022 as organic growth further accelerated during the first quarter.
The provider of internet domain names, hosting, monetisation and marketing tools said it expects to report revenue of roughly US$156mln and adjusted EBITDA of circa US$18mln for the three months to 31 March 2022.
The shares were 4.6% heavier at 123.43p.
10.50am: Hummingbird Resources dives after a tough first quarter
Hummingbird Resources PLC shareholders were in a flap after the shares lost almost a fifth of their value following an update from the mining company.
As forecast at the start of that year, first-quarter production slumped to 15,548 ounces (oz) of gold from 18,181oz in the preceding quarter, driven primarily by the planned essential maintenance work on the processing plant.

While production fell, the all-in sustaining cost of production rose to US$2,235 per oz from US$1,803 per oz in the fourth quarter of 2021.
9.55am: McColl’s plummets as it moves closer to collapse
Oh, dear. The share price of McColl's Retail Group PLC (LSE:MCLS) halved after the company issued a profit warning.
The board now expects adjusted underlying earnings (EBITDA) for the current financial year (FY22) will be no higher than the level achieved in FY21 (£20mln).
The company is still in talks about refinancing and said it would probably wait until this issue has been resolved before releasing its full-year results, even if this means pushing back the publication date beyond the end of May 2022, which is the deadline for publication (after which trading in the shares would be suspended).
9.00am: 7digital gets its groove on with new two-year contract; musicMagpie to sell refurbished tech on Back Market
7digital Group PLC has signed a new two-year contract worth at least £1 million with a pan-Asian consumer services company, sending its shares 8.3% higher to 0.325p.
The business-to-business digital music services provider said the new customer will be using several unique services provided by 7digital's music-as-a-service platform to deliver an app-based music streaming service to enhance its engagement with its customers.
7digital will provide access to its global catalogue, full licence compliance management and curation via the 7digital Playlisting Tool.
Sticking with the music theme, musicMagpie PLC flew 5.3% higher to 50p as it said its refurbished technology products will be sold on Back Market, the online marketplace dedicated to refurbished devices.
The launch of musicMagpie's products will occur on the Back Market UK marketplace by the end of this month and on the Back Market US marketplace in mid-May 2022.
In addition to mobile phones, the agreement includes tech categories such as games consoles, tablets, wearables and MacBooks. The launch adds an additional sales channel for musicMagpie's products and will supplement existing sales through its own websites as well as Amazon and eBay, the company said.
