Allergy Therapeutics PLC (AIM:AGY) said it will publish new data on its three main vaccine developments at the joint WAO & BSACI conference in Edinburgh this week.
A poster with data from an exploratory field study ahead of the proposed Phase III trial of its grass pollen jab will show clinically relevant and statistically significant reductions in daily symptoms after six injections.
Another poster will showcase the real-world TARGET study into the effect of Allergy’s MCT-associated allergoid SCIT platform, where tiny doses of the allergen are injected, on the progression of allergic rhinitis (AR) and asthma.
The TARGET study demonstrated long-term benefits for AR and asthma sufferers up to 9.5 years of follow up in routine clinical practice, said the biotech.
Allergy added it will also highlight the latest pre-clinical mechanistic data on its peanut vaccine candidate, VLP Peanut.
The poster will illustrate how a vaccine incorporating the major peanut allergen (recombinant Ara h 2) has the potential to protect against all peanut allergens.
VLP Peanut’s Phase I PROTECT trial, the first human study exploring its potential, will begin later in 2022 following FDA clearance of the group's IND application with topline data expected in 2023.
