Twenty Seven Co Ltd (ASX:TSC) now has a closer read on its drilling efforts at the Rover Gold Project from back in December, with one-metre results from its reverse circulation (RC) drilling program returning shallow gold.
The program that wrapped in December took in 31 holes over 2,161 metres. All of the one-metre sample assays relating to RC drilling done at the Harmonic prospect, Four Corners and Blue Hills prospects at that time have now come back from the lab.
Further indication of mineralised potential
Initial four-metre gold composite results were reported in February, but these new detailed results have further highlighted the mineralised potential of the Rover Project area, in particular at the Harmonic prospect.
Highlights include:
- 1 metre @ 1.94g/t gold from 135 metres;
- 1 metre @ 1.21g/t gold from 77 metres; and
- 6 metres @ 0.40g/t gold from 30 metres within a much larger interval of 31 metres @ 0.22g/t gold from 21 metres.
Commenting on the receipt of the one-metre splits, non-executive chairman Rohan Dalziell said: “We are pleased with the latest batch of assays received from Rover, as they continue to support our aim of extending the existing gold system at Harmonic and Creasy to further increase the overall prospectivity of the Rover Project.
“We are continuing to build our understanding of the mineralised system at Rover and the confirmation of further shallow gold mineralisation is encouraging as we plan our future work programs in the area. We look forward to providing further updates in due course.”
At the Harmonic prospect, with all assays now back from the lab, there is a clear zone of mineralisation, with grades of up to 1 metre @ 1.94g/t gold and a broader interval of 6 metres @ 0.40g/t gold.
The mineralisation intersected at Harmonic shows good continuity along strike and down dip of the previous holes drilled by TSC in 2019 and 2020.
Multi-element assay results are still pending due to the backlog at the lab and results are expected in the coming weeks.
Near-term exploration plans
The company is conducting the following activities at its WA and NSW tenement portfolios:
- Yarbu Gold Project: analyse pending assay results from auger drilling and identify areas of mineralisation/anomalism for follow-up exploration and drilling activity;
- NSW portfolio: undertake a soil and rock chip sampling program over the northern end of Perseus, southern end of Trident and eastern side of Midas;
- Mt Dimer Gold and Silver Project: assess all options; and
- Rover Gold Project: await final multi-element results before refining next phase of exploration.
