Blackbird receives Queen's approval for enterprise award

Overseas sales for the video editing platform provider grew by 314% over the last three years

Blackbird PLC (AIM:BIRD, OTCQX:BBRDF) said it will receive a Queen's Award for Enterprise for International Trade 2022.

The cloud native video editing platform is being recognised for its achievements in international trade.

Overseas sales grew 314% over the last three years, according to a statement, and now accounts for 70% of total sales.

North America is experiencing the fastest growth, following contracts with the National Hockey League, Univision and the US State Department.

Breaking into the global tech industry, which is dominated by US tech companies according to the statement “is something we are very proud of at Blackbird,” said chief executive Ian McDonough.

Blackbird also won “multiple high-profile contracts” in Europe, the Middle East and Oceania, including BT, Sky News Arabia and National Rugby League.

“We are incredibly honoured to be the winner of a coveted Queen's Award for Enterprise,” McDonough added.
