Apollo Minerals hits 60.2 metres at 2.4% zinc+lead from just 1.9 metres of depth at Kroussou Project

Apollo Minerals Ltd (ASX:AON)’s Neil Inwood highlights a broad, shallow, high-tenor zinc-lead intercept from a new area of the Kroussou Zinc-Lead Project in Gabon. The company is particularly encouraged by the sulphide-style nature of the mineralisation, which has also been observed in other nearby drill holes to the north and south.

Base metal sulphides are some of the easiest deposits to process using flotation technology, reducing the overhead costs of extraction and refinement. Early-stage test work has revealed recovery rates above 90% for sulphide mineralisation at the project.

The company is now moving to conduct region-wide electromagnetic (EM) surveying to determine if there are further prospective deposits hosted within the tenure.
