VR Resources gets drills turning on new magnetic anomalies at the Hecla-Kilmer copper-gold target

The firm is planning to drill between four to six holes on new magnetic anomalies identified recently in a drone survey

VR Resources Ltd (TSX-V:VRR, OTCQB:VRRCF) has said that drilling is underway at its Hecla-Kilmer property, a large copper-gold breccia target with critical metals in Ontario.

The firm is planning to drill between four to six holes on new magnetic anomalies identified recently in a drone survey.

Drilling is expected to take around six weeks to complete, with assay data from geochemical sampling anticipated as early as June.

Using the new AS magnetic anomalies derived from the new drone airborne survey, VR Resources is hoping to test the magnetic peaks immediately to the east of previous drill holes and test the central core and southern rim of the target for new centres of copper-gold breccia.

Drill holes planned for 2022 to test the new AS magnetic highs derived from the recently completed, high resolution drone-based magnetic survey

“The drone magnetic survey completed last fall and expanded this spring has certainly provided us with the obvious vector for how to follow up on the broad intersections of critical metals made last year, and we are excited to test the new targets in follow-up to what our drilling has discovered so far,” VR Resources CEO Michael Gunning said in a statement.

Gunning told investors that drilling is still at an early stage for a complex the size of Hecla-Kilmer, and cautioned that the company has only just started to understand and identify the specific controls on the various styles of mineralization intersected to date.

“Given the intensity of hydrothermal brecciation, sulfide alteration and critical metal mineralization that we have intersected to date at H-K, we are excited to see what the four new drone-magnetic targets deliver in drill core in this next round of drilling,” the CEO added. “Indeed, this program will give us our first look across the breadth of the four- to six-kilometre complex, and we look forward to providing further updates as our drilling advances."

Hecla-Kilmer consists of 224 mineral claims in one contiguous block covering 4,617 hectares. The property is owned 100% by VR.
