Cornerstone expects best quarterly revenue

Cornerstone will report its full-year results in June

Cornerstone FS PLC (AIM:CSFS) said it expects to report its "highest ever unaudited quarterly revenue", beating the total for the first half of last year.

The AIM-listed cloud-based software-services provider said first-quarter revenue was roughly £946,000, boosted by the first contributions from Capital Currencies, a currency exchange service it recently bought.

This surpassed the total income for the first half of last year, which was £837,000.

Revenue generated by clients the group serves directly gained about 77% compared with 28% for the first half of the previous year.

This was aided by Cornerstone’s Asia team, which became a part of the company in the second half of 2021, the statement said.

The group reiterated its previous prediction that full-year revenues for 2021 are expected to climb 38% to £2.3mln, with gross margin increasing 51.5% from 29.8% in 2020.

Cornerstone will report its full-year results in June this year.

Share surged 18% in morning trading to 20.7p.
