Aeris Resources Ltd (ASX:AIS) is encouraged by high-grade gold results from resource definition drilling at Golden Plateau deposit within the 100%-owned Cracow tenement package in southeast Queensland.
The drilling program – which targeted remnant gold mineralisation within and below historical workings – intercepted multiple high-grade gold hits across the majority of the deposit, delineating at least 450 metres of strike length.
Assays have been returned for 22 of 35 holes, with notable intersections including:
- 4.0 metres at 19.4g/t gold (true thickness of 2.9 metres);
- 4.0 metres at 11.1 g/t (2.7 metres);
- 4.75 metres at 5.4 g/t (3.9 metres);
- 5.0 metres at 5.0 g/t (2.6 metres); and
- 29.4 metres at 2.7 g/t (13.3 metres), including 11.4 metres at 5.6 g/t (5.2 metres).
Working toward maiden resource
Aeris Resources executive chair Andre Labuschagne said: “Results from the Golden Plateau drill program are highly encouraging.
“High-grade intersections have been recorded across a majority of the Golden Plateau mineralised system and we are targeting a maiden mineral resource in Q1 FY23.”
Resource definition drilling is continuing at Golden Plateau with drill holes targeted at testing extensions beyond historical mined fronts on parallel lodes, cross-cutting lodes and extensions along strike.
The data from this program will be used to provide confidence in the geology and continuity of gold mineralisation, validate the company’s void model of the historic workings, and generate a maiden mineral resource estimate for the Golden Plateau deposit.
