Aben Resources set for busy 2022 exploration season at its Canadian gold and graphite projects

The Vancouver-based firm said it is currently in discussions with “multiple” potential partners to secure option deals at its Justin gold project, and offered a glimpse at its plans throughout its wider portfolio

Aben Resources (TSX-V:ABN, OTCQB:ABNAF) Ltd has given shareholders a glimpse into a busy 2022 exploration season at its Canadian mineral properties.

The junior resource company is focused on gold and graphite exploration in British Columbia, Ontario, and Yukon.

In a wide-ranging update, the Vancouver-based firm said it is currently in discussions with “multiple” potential partners to secure option deals at its Justin gold project in Yukon after having recently filed its NI 43-101 technical report on the property.

“The report is a beneficial asset and provides context to our historical work on the Justin gold project," CEO Jim Pettit said in a statement. "This will enable potential interested parties to review previous work done on the property and provide data for future programs."

The Justin property is host to rocks that have undergone multi-phase hydrothermal alteration that has produced two distinct mineralizing systems, Aben told investors. Drilling has shown that precious metal mineralization on the property is part of an Intrusion Related Gold System (IRGS) featuring multiple mineralization styles including sheeted vein arrays, vein breccias, stockwork veining, fault-controlled mineralization, and skarn-hosted gold horizons, it added.

Over in Ontario, Aben said it is set to kick off grassroots exploration at its Pringle North gold project in the prolific Red Lake district.

Pringle North consists of five contiguous mining claims covering approximately 1,881 hectares and is located 55 kilometers north of the prolific Red Lake Gold Camp. The property straddles the interpreted northern extension of the deep-seated geologic structures that host several gold deposits within the famed gold camp.

Aben said it has been compiling and interpreting regional and property-scale geologic and geophysical data in advance of a comprehensive field exploration program in 2022.

Aben also holds the exclusive right to earn a 100% interest, less 2% net production royalty in the road-accessible Slocan graphite project in British Columbia. The 2,387-hectare property hosts several large flake graphite-bearing outcrops at the Tedesco Zone, which Aben said is coincident with a strong conductive anomaly identified in 2010 that is interpreted to extend up to 2 kilometres from the known surficial occurrences.

The company said its exploration permit for Slocan is currently under review, and will conduct ground exploration on the property once the weather and terrain allow access.

Finally, Aben said that it will forego ground exploration at its Forrest Kerr gold property in BC in 2022 in order to focus on its other projects.

"We are re-evaluating all of the old and new data from ground, geophysics, and drill programs conducted between 2016 and 2020,” CEO Pettit told investors. “We intend to utilize the data to generate future drill targets within and beyond the North Boundary Zones and South Boundary Zones."

Forrest Kerr is fully permitted and in good standing through March 2024.
