Red Pine Exploration Inc (TSX-V:RPX, OTCQB:RDEXF) has reported more encouraging drill results from its flagship Wawa gold property in Ontario, which continue to show the potential to expand current resources "along strike, dip and plunge".
The brownfield property plays host to several former mines, covers nearly 7,000 hectares (Ha), and already hosts an NI-43 101 compliant 700,000 indicated and inferred ounces across the Surluga and Minto mine south deposits.
The latest drill assays confirm additional gold mineralization at depth at Surluga South, while at Surluga North, the drillbit has expanded mineralization beneath the current resource at the deposit's northern extension.
"The results from our 2022 drilling program continues to demonstrate the untapped potential of the Wawa Gold Project, having intersected notable mineralized regions in various exploration targets," Quentin Yarie, the CEO of Red Pine Exploration, told investors in a statement.

"As we carry on with the Phase 1 drill program at an efficient pace, the Jubilee Shear Zone which hosts the Surluga resource continues to produce impressive results which validates the continuation of the exploration drill program."
Highlight results at Surluga South included three high-grade intersections in one hole of 57.99 gram per ton (g/t) gold over 1.01 metre (m) from 645.61m depth, 15.92 g/t gold (over 0.99m from 647.56m) and 9.33 g/t of the yellow metal over 0.87m (from 640.69m depth).
At Surluga North, 8.46 g/t gold was intersected over 6.42m between 219.79m and 226.21m depth.
Red Pine noted that the current 2022 Phase 1 program at Wawa has been "advancing at an efficient pace" with 14,864m of drilling achieved in the year-to-date.
