Silver Mines Ltd (ASX:SVL) has enhanced the corporate skillset of its board through the appointment of Kristen Podagiel as a non-executive director.
Along with her distinguished legal background, Podagiel has more than 20 years of experience as a commercial lawyer on major projects and developments including work in mineral resources, technology, agriculture, energy and defence industries.
Podagiel is a current director of ADG Capital Pty Ltd, a company involved in a range of engineering disciplines across various industry sectors including mining.
She is a founding director of UNIQ You Ltd, a charity supporting women in mining and STEM-related areas.
Podagiel has also recently completed her term as the interim chief executive officer of Women’s Legal Service Queensland, which provides free legal and social work services to more than 5,000 women every year.
In welcoming the new director, Silver Mines chairman Keith Perrett said, “As the company now transitions from a highly successful mineral exploration company into development and mining, Kristen’s skill base, integrity and enthusiasm will be a most valuable addition to the company.”
