TomaGold Corporation revealed new drill results from its 11,500-metre drilling program at the Obalski property, saying that the results have expanded the mineralization at depth with significant gold intersections.
The junior exploration company drilled 1.83 grams per ton (g/t) gold over 52.3 metres, including 125 g/t gold over 0.5 metres at a depth of 350 metres in one hole.
"This program was a true success as it allowed us to expand the mineralization at depth on Obalski with significant gold intersections, further demonstrating the mineral potential of our property," said David Grondin, CEO of TomaGold.

"The upcoming program slated for June will be even more exciting as we will continue to test the extensions of the mineralization, in addition to drilling anomalies detected to the west of the property following the results of the induced polarization survey."
Other results from the five holes released include 3.83 g/t over 0.8 metres, 0.31 g/t over 25 metres and 0.43 g/t gold over 3.6 metres, at depths ranging from 165 metres to 295 metres.
The Obalski property consists of 345 hectares just south of Chibougamau, Quebec. Discovered in 1928, the Obalski deposit produced 100,273 tonnes at grades of 1.14% copper, 2.08 g/t gold and 6.04 g/t silver from the A zone between 1964 to 1972, and around 9,000 tonnes at a reported grade of 8.5 g/t gold from the D zone in 1984.
TomaGold has interests in five gold properties near the Chibougamau mining camp in northern Quebec, and a joint venture with Evolution Mining and New Gold on the Baird property, near the Red Lake mining camp in Ontario.
