BlackEarth Minerals completes diamond drilling program, verifies graphite continuity along strike

“We are particularly pleased that drilling has largely confirmed the continuity of graphite mineralisation along strike and at depth and we look forward to seeing the assay results shortly,” says MD.

BlackEarth Minerals NL (ASX:BEM) has completed its Razafy Northwest 1670-metre diamond drilling program at its 100%-owned Maniry Graphite Project in Southern Madagascar.

The company chalked up several highlights during the program, which verified the continuity of graphite mineralisation along strike.

The company also successfully explored for depth extensions.

Down the line, the program is expected to add further medium to high-grade material to BEM’s stated inventory resource, which will be included in an imminent definitive feasibility study (DFS).

This program follows the 2021 Razafy Northwest mineral resource estimate, which was originally based on 21 diamond drill holes.

Assays are expected in the coming weeks, with surface trenching soon to start on the western end of drill lines.

Potential to increase project value

“We are particularly pleased that the drilling has largely confirmed the continuity of graphite mineralisation along strike and at depth and we look forward to seeing the assay results shortly,” BlackEarth managing director Tom Revy said.

“Every new tonne of high-grade material we add to our mineral inventory from Razafy Northwest has the potential to increase project value for our shareholders and we look forward to informing the market about this in our soon to be published DFS.”

BlackEarth recently completed a follow-up drill program at Razafy, comprising 28 holes, which was completed on time and within budget.
