Great Atlantic Resources Corp (TSX-V:GR) released new assay results from its 2021 program at the Golden Promise gold property that showcased high-grade gold.
Highlights from the results include 4.02 grams per tonne (g/t) gold over 0.60 meters at the Jaclyn Main Zone and 30.6 g/t gold over 0.41 meters core length at the Jaclyn North Zone.
The company said that “multiple" gold-bearing intervals occur based on these recent gold assays and previously reported gold assays.

Earlier this year, Great Atlantic reported gold assays for initial drill samples from one hole that included three drill core samples higher than 5 g/t gold. One 0.40-meter core length quartz vein sample with visible gold returned 101.4 g/t gold, the company reported.
Another drill hole at the Jaclyn North zone confirmed near-surface anomalous and high-grade gold, the company said.
A 0.41-meter core length sample from a quartz vein with visible gold returned a high-grade assay of 30.6 g/t gold, the company said. The hole was collared within a zone of abundant quartz vein float, where previous Great Atlantic float samples returned high-grade gold values, including four boulder samples exceeding 100 g/t gold.
Great Atlantic is planning further drilling at the Jaclyn zone throughout 2022.
Golden Promise is located in a prolific gold area in the Canadian province of Newfoundland, near recent significant discoveries like Marathon Gold’s Valentine project and New Found Gold’s Queensway project.
