Apple under further scrutiny from European Commission after Spotify complaint

Citing an unnamed source, the Reuters news agency said the European Commission’s investigation into Apple will now include a raft of additional anti-competitive charges.

Streaming giant Spotify, no stranger to controversy itself, has filed a complaint to the European Commission about iPhone behemoth Apple Inc (NASDAQ:AAPL).

The Reuters news agency reports that Apple now faces avenues of exploration by the European Commission, which is investigating whether Apple’s obsessive control freakery over its operating system is distorting competition in the music streaming market.

Based on information provided by an unnamed source, Spotify has complained to the European Commission about something but what that something might be was not specified.

The source claimed that as a result of Spotify sticking its oar in, the Commission’s investigation will now include a raft of additional anti-competitive charges.
