Blue Sky Uranium resumes exploration drilling at targets near its Ivana deposit in Argentina

The company said new drill holes are planned at the Ivana Central target located at its Amarillo Grande uranium-vanadium project

Blue Sky Uranium Corp. (TSX-V:BSK, OTCQB:BKUCF) announced that it is resuming its 4,500 metre (m) exploration drilling program with new holes planned at the Ivana Central target, located 10 kilometres north of the company's Ivana deposit at its Amarillo Grande uranium-vanadium project in Argentina.

Blue Sky said six holes totaling 286m were drilled at Ivana Central in 2020 before the program was paused, leaving about 1,200m to be completed at this target.

“Ivana Central is the next area we are evaluating in our continued push to identify and delineate new mineralization and deposits at the district-scale Amarillo Grande project,” Blue Sky Uranium CEO Nikolaos Cacos said in a statement.

“We look forward to completing this tranche of drilling so that we can plan detailed follow up and advance to testing other targets in the Ivana area,” Cacos added.

The company noted that two of the first six holes at Ivana Central intersected anomalous uranium, including 120 parts per million (ppm) U 3 O 8 over one metre in hole AGIC-01, with all holes returning anomalous vanadium and pathfinder elements similar to those associated with uranium mineralization at the Ivana deposit.

It added that new drilling will test the continuity of the prospective horizons intersected in the initial holes.

As well, Blue Sky said a total of 1,584m have been completed at the Ivana North target and, following completion of the current tranche of drilling at Ivana Central, about 1,500m of drilling will be deployed in refining delineation of areas with the best results from both targets.

Blue Sky Uranium is on the verge of becoming a South American leader in uranium production. The energy metal discovery company has exclusive rights to properties in two provinces in Argentina, and is a member of the Grosso Group, a resource management collective that has pioneered Argentinian exploration since 1993.
