Bloomsbury Publishing PLC (LSE:BMY) founder and CEO Nigel Newton joins Proactive London to browse through some good reads for the Easter holidays.
The books discussed include The Great Passion by James Runcie, a novel that is "spiritual, musical and uplifting", and The Three-Body Problem by Cixin Liu, a potential "goldmine" for Bloomsbury as part of its acquisition of Head of Zeus last year as this first in a sci-fi trilogy is about to become a huge Netflix series.
As well as pointing out the recent outpourings on TikTok's #booktok community that has revived interest in The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller 10 years after it was published, other books discussed include Trespasses by Louise Kennedy, The Leviathan by Rosie Andrews, House of Sky and Breath by Sarah J. Maas and Builders of the Third Reich: The Organisation Todt and Nazi Forced Labour by Charles Dick.
