88 Energy Ltd (AIM:88E, ASX:88E, OTC:EEENF) told investors it expects an independent resource estimate of Project Icewine, on Alaska’s North Slope, during the second quarter.
The company, in a statement, said it is continuing its analysis and review of Icewine and its recent results. Mapping work focussed on the Seabee Lower Basin Floor Fan (BFF) and Slope Fan System (SFS) reservoir zones is now approaching finalisation, it noted.
At the same time, it said that preliminary third-party mapping of the Shelf Margin Delta (SMD) play indicates an extension from neighbouring acreage – where Pantheon Resources has enjoyed significant success in recent months – into 88 Energy’s Icewine leases.
88 Energy is working on plans for its forward work programmes which will focus on assessing the potential of SMD, SFS, and BFF.
