DiscoverIE Group PLC said it was awarded an an ‘A’ rating in its MSCI environmental, social, and governmental (ESG) assessment, the third highest score possible.
The ‘A’ rating recognises the group's ESG achievements as well as its strong strategic focus on sustainable development such as renewable energy, the designer and manufacturer of components for electronic applications said.
The company outperformed the market in several areas, scoring highest in creating cleantech opportunities and corporate governance.
"We are proud to have received an "A" rating from MSCI Research and are pleased that our strategic focus on sustainable development and long-term commitment to good corporate governance has been recognised,” said chief executive Nick Jefferies.
The company said it is actively reducing its carbon emissions and is making good progress in cutting its emissions by 50% by 2025.
ESG considerations are at the heart of its business strategy, according to the statement, with nearly 80% of its revenue derived from renewable energy, medical, transportation and industrial and connectivity.
The MSCI ESG rating is designed to measure a company's resilience to long-term industry material ESG risks.
