Blackstone Minerals Ltd (ASX:BSX, OTCQX:BLSTF)’s Scott Williamson speaks to Proactive about the company’s pilot program at the Ta Khoa Refinery, where it’s commissioned the 450,000-tonne-per-annum Ban Phuc nickel concentrator and sent concentrate to a Perth lab. The company is also working with the Vietnamese Government on the Chim Van nickel target, which is close to Ta Khoa. Pre-feasibility studies for Ta Khoa’s upstream component are complete, while the company is halfway through a definitive feasibility study for the downstream asset. Looking ahead, BSX hopes to strike key partnerships with cathode, battery and car manufacturers that will accelerate exploration and de-risk the project.
