Golden Rim Resources starts geophysical survey at Kada Gold Project

Golden Rim’s MD Craig Mackay, said: “After the success of our resource definition drilling and our milestone 930,000-ounce maiden mineral resource at Kada, we are excited to recommence our exploration along the highly prospective Kada Gold

Golden Rim Resources Ltd (ASX:GMR) has begun an Induced Polarisation (IP)/ground magnetics geophysical survey at its Kada Gold Project in Guinea.

Just a week ago, Proactive reported that GMR was set to start RC drilling at Kada for a total of around 60 holes for 5,000 metres to test priority bedrock gold target areas outlined in auger drilling along the 15-kilometre Kada Gold Corridor.

Better understanding

Through the geophysical survey, GMR is hoping to get a better understanding of the distribution and structural controls of the areas of strongest gold mineralisation.

Golden Rim has selected three prospect areas (Massan, Bereko and Bereko South) for inclusion in the survey initially, which will cover about 76 line kilometres (100-metre spaced lines and a 25-metre station spacing along the lines).

The survey is expected to take around one month to finish, with results used to plan further exploration at Kada during 2022.

Golden Rim’s managing director Craig Mackay said: “After the success of our resource definition drilling and our milestone 930,000-ounce maiden mineral resource at Kada, we are excited to recommence our exploration along the highly prospective Kada Gold Corridor.

“Our objective for the remainder of 2022 is to expand the gold inventory along the Kada Gold Corridor, focusing on shallow oxide mineralisation.

"Given our maiden resource covers only 7% of the highly prospective 15-kilometre Kada corridor, we see potential for uplift to this resource and are confident the survey will provide us with new targets for follow up.

“We expect our planned program of 5,000 metres of exploration drilling along the Kada Gold Corridor to commence shortly. The RC rig has now arrived on site and we are waiting on the drilling crew to fully mobilise. We will announce the start of the drilling as soon as it is underway.”
