FAR Ltd (ASX:FAR) has added further financial expertise to the team with a new chief financial officer (CFO).
Garth Campbell-Cowan will take up the reigns from current CFO Victoria McLellan, who has resigned.
Campbell-Cowan brings experience across a variety of ASX-listed organisations to the FAR team and most recently, he served as gold mining stalwart St Barbara Ltd (ASX:SBM)’s CFO.
FAR’s new chief financial officer will work with the team on a contractual basis, seeing it through the present transition period.
Speaking to the change in leadership, FAR chair Patrick O’Connor said: “I thank Vicky for her service to FAR over the past five years and wish her well in her future endeavours.
“I look forward to working with Garth as we focus on farming out our Gambian assets, exploring every opportunity to realise value for shareholders and seeking to reflect the underlying asset value in the FAR share price.”
New leadership
A CFO change is the latest in a series of developments as FAR updates its executive and leadership teams.
Late last month, chairman O’Conner was called to oversee the business after managing director Catherine Norman was terminated in her role and resigned as a company director.
The news came just a week after FAR appointed Dr Alan Stein as a non-executive director, increasing the company's oil and gas exploration and development expertise.
