Ora Banda Mining on the hunt for new leadership

Stepping into the interim chief executive role, Andrew Czerw boasts more than 30 years of domestic and international industry experience.

Ora Banda Mining Ltd (ASX:OBM)’s managing director and CEO Peter Nicholson has stepped down from his leadership post.

Following the gold stock’s $20 million capital raise and accelerated exploration campaign, Nicholson decided now is the time to seek out new challenges in the resources space.

Nicholson officially ceased in the roles on Wednesday, April 6, but will receive his contractual and legal entitlements.

It now means the hunt for a new chief executive is on, and Ora Banda’s general manager of resource development Andrew Czerw has agreed to serve as interim CEO during the recruitment process.

Speaking to Nicholson’s departure, Ora Banda chairman Peter Mansell said: “Since joining Ora Banda over a year ago, Peter has led the company through a challenging period.

“On behalf of the board, I would like to thank Peter for his outstanding commitment and wish him the best for his future endeavours.”

His previous roles include general manager for Tanami Gold NL (ASX:TAM), director of operations for Tectonic Resources Ltd and chief geologist for Emperor Gold Mining Company Ltd.

Czerw holds a Bachelor of Applied Science, majoring in Geology, and his interim service agreement is being finalised.
