Electra Battery Materials Corporation (TSX-V:ELBM, OTCQX:ELBMF) announced an offtake agreement for nickel and cobalt produced from a battery recycling plant that it expects to commission in 2023 at its Battery Materials Park north of Toronto. Under the agreement, the company said Glencore AG will purchase nickel and cobalt products until the end of 2024 on market-based terms. "The demand for recycled battery materials is very strong but there is limited refining capacity in North America today to treat black mass with a hydrometallurgical process - the preferred route due to high metal recoveries and near-zero GHG emissions," said Electra CEO Trent Mell in a statement. The Nevada-focused mining company told investors the new high-grade results are from drilling from the 4790 Level targeting mineralization in the Range Front, Adam Peak, and Otto fault horizons, the first area being targeted for mining and located proximal to and below existing mine workings. Multiple target areas are being drilled from underground including testing the down-dip potential of the Otto, Adam Peak and Ogee Zones. The deepest hole drilled to test the extension at depth of the main mine horizons in the ongoing program, iGS21-15, intersected high-grade gold mineralization in multiple horizons including 13.3 grams per tonne (g/t) gold over 13.1 metres (m), 20.3 g/t gold over 7.5m and 10.1 g/t over 17.5m, with true width being 33%-55% of intercepts.

Minto Metals Corp (TSX-V:MNTO) has announced copper production from its Yukon copper mine for the first quarter of its 2022 financial year. The company reported payable copper production of 9.1 million pounds from the Minto Mine located within the Selkirk First Nation’s territory, a 70.7% increase over the 5.3 million pounds reported for 1Q 2021. Operating results for the three months to March 31, 2022, also improved, Minto added, as it produced 238,979 dry metric tonnes (dmt) of ore, a 37% year-over-year increase. Mill Feed was 237,239 dmt, up 11.7% from the same quarter a year earlier. Overall head grade was also significantly higher at 1.8% copper when compared to the 1.2% realized in 1Q 2021. "We eliminated our underground mine contractor and started to self perform mining operations for the first time in Minto's history in January 2022,” president and CEO Chris Stewart said in a statement. “This transition combined with coronavirus (COVID-19) caused some manpower challenges for us in January but we worked through that and delivered a record quarter of production hitting our copper pound targets in January and February and then finished up in March with our best results ever.”

Amarillo Gold Corp noted that the TSX Venture Exchange has accepted for filing documentation in connection with an arrangement agreement between Hochschild Mining PLC (LSE:HOC, OTCQX:HCHDF) and Amarillo Gold Corp. dated November 29, 2021. Under the agreement, Hochschild acquired all of the issued and outstanding common shares of Amarillo by way of a plan of arrangement under the provisions of the Business Corporations Act (British Columbia). The transaction was completed on April 1, 2022, therefore, effective at the close of business on Wednesday, April 6, 2022, the common shares of Amarillo will be delisted from the TSX Venture Exchange.

In June 2021, Deep South reported that renewal of its exclusive prospecting licence (EPL) 3140 covering the Haib asset had been denied by Namibia's Ministry of Mines and Energy.
Burcon NutraScience Corp (TSX:BU, NASDAQ:BRCN) announced it has received a letter from Nasdaq notifying the company that it is not in compliance with Listing Rule 5550 (a)(2), which requires the listed securities of the company to maintain a minimum bid price of US$1 per share. The company has not met this requirement for 30 consecutive business days but Burcon said the notification does not result in the immediate delisting of the company's shares. The company has 180 calendar days or until September 28, 2022 to meet Nasdaq's minimum bid price requirement. Burcon is reviewing various options to regain compliance with the listing rules.
