Oil and gas producer i3 Energy recently announced its Canadian business had hit a record output of 20,000 barrels a day while reserves had also hit a record.
Majid Shafiq, chief executive, said the higher production was down to constant activity, looking at wells to optimise them and good housekeeping generally.
Doubling reserves meanwhile is a huge tick for i3, he adds, as it was without much drilling, which starts in earnest this year.
