Group Eleven Resources extends mineralization at northwest extension at the Carrickittle zinc prospect in Ireland

At Zone 1 at Carrickittle, the latest drill highlights included one hole, which extended the mineralization there by 30 metres (m) such that the zone is now 130m long

Group Eleven Resources Ltd. (TSX-V:ZNG) revealed that it has extended mineralization via reconnaissance drilling at the northwest (NW) extension at the Carrickittle prospect on its PG West project in Ireland and told investors that 2022's annual drill budget is its largest to date.

At Zone 1 at Carrickittle, the latest drill highlights included one hole, which extended the mineralization there by 30 metres (m) such that the zone is now 130m long. The hole hit a length of 9.33m starting from 78.93m depth, grading 0.48% zinc and lead and 8.1 grams per ton (g/t) silver. That included a narrow high-grade zone of 0.10m of 20% zinc and lead and 6.6 g/t silver.

The same hole also threw up a separate copper-silver bearing zone, showing 2.77m of 0.10% copper, 20.4 g/t silver and 0.40% zinc and lead, noted Group Eleven. Follow-up drilling is currently being finalized to test if mineralization widens further towards the north-west in an un-drilled area measuring 750m by 950m, immediately north of Zone 1.

"Along with our extension of Zone 1 by 30% to a strike of 130m, our northerly holes add further evidence that the mineralizing system seen at Zones 1-4 likely continues NW and beyond," said Bart Jaworski, the explorer's CEO in a statement.

"This justifies our recent move to start drilling at the Carrickittle North and West prospects. Meanwhile, a large and prospective 950m x 750m area remains undrilled at the centre of the Carrickittle prospect. We look forward to testing this zone in the next few months, with a view to finding a wider 'blow-out' of Zone 1," he added.

"Separately, our ongoing drilling at the Stonepark JV is progressing on schedule and we look forward to starting our drill program at Ballywire in the coming weeks. With two rigs and over 6,000m of drilling planned this year, 2022 is poised to be our busiest year to date," the CEO noted.

Meanwhile, near PG West, the company said it recently completed a 144.5m-long hole program at the Tullacondra prospect. Assays are expected over the next three to six weeks, it added.

The Tullacondra prospect sits around 20km south of the PG West project and the company applied for the Tullacondra property in early 2020 and was granted the prospecting licenses in September the same year.

Group Eleven is focused on advanced-stage zinc exploration in Ireland.
