Roquefort Therapeutics PLC (LSE:ROQ) said Jean Duvall has been appointed as its new independent director, replacing Mark Rollins.
Currently chief executive and co-founder of ReproNovo, a women's health and reproductive medicine company, Duvall is a biotech and pharma sector veteran with over 25 years' experience.
At Ferring Pharmaceuticals, she was one of the executive team that helped build the business from revenues of US$700mln to US$2bn.
She has led or co-led more than 10 transactions and had legal oversight on over 25 deals.
She also worked for Elan Corp on its blockbuster Tysabri and drug discovery start-ups Trizell and Amzell.
“Jean's track record speaks for itself and her knowledge and experience in drug development, commercialising programmes and value creation in life sciences will be a valuable asset to our team,” said Roquefort chairman Stephen West.
“Roquefort Therapeutics is putting together a top team in place and we look to the future with optimism.”
