Leading cryptos continued to tread water, mirroring the cautious wider market, as investors try to second guess the economic fallout of Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
Bitcoin rose 0.9% to US$46,659, slightly outpacing its smaller peer Ethereum, which gained 0.4% to US$3,518.
Other notable risers included Terra, Dogecoin and Near Protocol, up 1.6%, 5.7% and 4.3% respectively.
Overall, 73 of the leading 100 cryptos eased lower.
The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, a United Nations arm, believes crypto will require greater energy, which was named a “growing concern,” especially given climate change.
Of the big names, Solana, XRP and Avalanche slipped 3.0%, 1.7% and 1.9% respectively.
Outside of the top 10, Cosmos, Algorand and Hedera lost 5.5%, 4.9% and 3.7% respectively.
Meanwhile, Waves carried its volatile momentum from the end of March into the first week of April – this time plunging 25% - the largest mover of the day amongst the top digital currencies.
