Global Health Ltd (ASX:GLH) has formed a strategic equity partnership with Asta Swisstec Health Pty Ltd in Darwin, Northern Territory, to provide health systems and services to remote and under-served regions.
GLH says the partnership will allow the companies to fulfill the growing demands and changes in healthcare services culture that have occurred since the pandemic, specifically for:
- Providing patients access to remote monitoring and virtual care services that can help relieve ongoing pressure to hospitals and healthcare centres;
- Allowing clinics and doctors to be Telehealth ready and gain better access to connected care services; and,
- Supporting the digital ecosystem for the Deployable Healthcare Module (DHM) project out of the Northern Territory as a footprint into regional Australia and surrounding countries to provide much needed healthcare services to 400 million people in under-serviced communities across regional Australia and Southeast Asia.
Servicing actively evolving sector
“Adoption of digital technology in healthcare has accelerated significantly globally throughout the pandemic, transforming the interaction experience between patients and healthcare service providers,” Global Health executive director Mathew Cherian said.
“The increasing adoption of tele-consultations, remote diagnosis, use of personal monitoring devices and other digital engagement tools is generating greater demand for comprehensive and well-integrated solutions for healthcare providers and healthcare consumers.
“The integration of Global Health’s portfolio of SaaS (software as a service) platforms into the DHM project extends remote diagnosis to now encompass a comprehensive digital healthcare ecosystem that provides an extensive pool of urban-based Medical and Allied Health specialists for remote and under-serviced communities.
“This is part of Global Health’s 'Growth Strategy' utilising our digital platforms to deliver quality healthcare services to remote communities both in Australia and ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) countries.”
Asta and Swisstec Analytics have been in partnership since 2018, providing for in-country radiology demand with an all-inclusive bundled solution for remote and under resourced hospitals.
The bundle includes Philips imaging modalities and an advanced Informatics technology with access to a platform of International radiologists and doctors. The service is further supported by Asta’s Artificial Intelligence algorithms and technology, which enables the companies to meet the needs of the fastest growing healthcare market across Southeast Asia and China.
The partnership created Asta Swisstec Health – and has now partnered with Global Health – to better support the increasing need for decentralised healthcare worldwide.
