Kromek Group PLC (AIM:KMK) chief executive Arnab Basu says Russia’s invasion into Ukraine and the heightened radiological and nuclear threat that followed has triggered rising interest and urgency among buyers of the AIM-quoted firm’s detection technologies.
Arnab Basu joined Katie in the studio following Monday’s news of a £1.7mln order from a department of the UK government, under an existing long-term deal.
Basu described the latest contract as “a demonstration of how the world around us is waking up to a new order in terms of security and awareness”, driven by the invasion of Ukraine.
Kromek’s customers are reacting and are gearing up their security, he highlighted.
The AIM-quoted company Kromek Group is a developer and high-volume supplier of hardware and software radiation detection components and products. It is a supplier to OEMs, civil nuclear and security services.
