Oxford Cannabinoid's CSO explains why cancer patients suffering CPN are now its focus

Oxford Cannabinoid Technology’s CSO Valentino Parravicini talks to Proactive about why it has switched focus for oct461201 from post-herpetic neuralgia (PHN) to chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy or CPN.

After analysing data from multiple studies, he says the conclusion was that the compound was better in suppressing pain in CPN sufferers and less effective in PHN, hence the change.

CPN occurs frequently in people undergoing chemotherapy for cancer because of damage to nerves, with the current standard of care treatments also having serious side effects.
