Magnis Energy Technologies Ltd (ASX:MNS, OTCQX:MNSEF)'s Frank Poullas speaks to the latest results out of the company's extra fast charging battery program. The technology that's being developed will help electric vehicle users charge their cars rapidly, without dramatically decreasing the battery's overall life. So far, findings show that 7 amp-hour commercial batteries — using cell technology developed by Magnis' partner — boasted a 93% retention rate after a staggering 1,020 charge cycles. Traditionally, batteries used in the electric vehicle industry have up to 80% retention after 1,000 cycles, using lower charging rates. As a result, Poullas says this could change the game when it comes to charging the vehicles of the future.
