Moho Resources Ltd (ASX:MOH) has revealed an electromagnetic (EM) anomaly in an initial assessment of historical data collected from the Black Swan South nickel prospect, which sits directly adjacent to the very high-grade Poseidon Nickel Silver Swan Project.

Modelling has revealed the EM anomaly is about 100 metres to the south and below a diamond drill hole completed by Norilsk in 2008.
The anomaly is very subtle, indicating a distant source. While more testing will be necessary to determine its geology, it may reflect a possible massive nickel sulphide mineralisation within an untested portion of the Black Swan South magnetic anomaly.
As of yet, no ground-based EM surveys have been conducted over said magnetic anomaly, which has historically been the main focus of exploration for nickel.
Alternatively, Moho believes the anomaly may reflect graphite or a sliver of sulphide bound in the interpreted north-west shear structure.
“Prospect is significantly under-explored”
“Moho’s early assessment of historic exploration data is that the Black Swan South prospect is significantly under-explored, particularly given its proximity to the high-grade nickel sulphide mineralisation associated with the nearby Silver Swan and Golden Swan deposits,” Moho Resources managing director Shane Sadleir said.
“We are looking forward to the next phase of exploration with great anticipation and excitement.”
Moho’s next steps will be to:
➢ Complete geochemical review and interpretation of Black Swan South drilling data;
➢ Plan drill holes to test EM geophysical and geochemical targets for nickel and Platinum Group Elements (PGE);
➢ Secure reverse circulation (RC) rig and drill nickel targets;
➢ Undertake Drillhole electromagnetic (DHEM) surveying in RC holes proposed to test nickel targets;
➢ Undertake ground EM survey on magnetic anomaly to assess potential for more nickel and PGE targets; and
➢ Undertake DHEM surveying in historical DDH LBSD0023 – the same hole that revealed the EM anomaly (if possible)
