Clean Seed Capital Group (TSX-V:CSX) has told investors that it will partner with Canada West Harvest Centre (CAWHC) to promote its SMART Seeder MAX.
The agTech group noted that CAWHC is a five-store agricultural equipment dealer in Saskatchewan covering key agricultural producing areas of the province it has targeted for the SMART Seeder MAX.
"We are very pleased with this partnership because CAWHC represents one of the most progressive, precision agricultural equipment dealers in Western Canada with a tremendous legacy built on customer support and experience with their core brand CLAAS,” Clean Seed president Colin Rush said in a statement. “With Saskatchewan having almost 40% of the total cropland area in Canada this partnership is the gateway for Clean Seed to access the majority of Saskatchewan for sales, support, and service of our technology.”

CAWHC is owned by original equipment manufacturer (OEM) agricultural brand CLAAS, one of the most highly reputable brands in the industry. The first CAWHC location opened in 2014 as part of CLAAS of America's growth strategy to provide high-level service and support to its customers. The SMART Seeder MAX will be the first precision seeding equipment carried by CAWHC since its launch in 2014.
"Clean Seed has done the work to create a product that has the capabilities to drive a step-change in seeding and planting,” CAWHC general manager Mike Malmgren said. “Further, the SMART Seeder MAX is easily one of the most innovative seeding tools to emerge in our market as it will provide unmatched agronomic benefits to drive increased financial returns for agricultural producers.”
Clean Seed said it will start its Saskatchewan based customer demonstration program with CAWHC in April 2022 which will lay the groundwork for the SMART Seeder MAX customer base in Saskatchewan along with the parallel growth of CLAAS' high horsepower Xerion tractor line.
Concurrently, it said it will be initiating its Alberta demonstration program and will shortly thereafter open its order program for the 2023 SMART Seeder MAX.
“The SMART Seeder MAX family represents a quantum leap forward providing producers with the technology to greatly reduce input costs and drive crop yields, all in parallel with our environmentally sustainable approach to the seeding and planting process,” Rush concluded.
Clean Seed’s SMART Seeder technologies are revolutionary seeding tools that utilize the unique synergy of sophisticated electronic metering and intuitive software control, putting row-by-row variable rate technology at the forefront of agricultural innovation.
