Technology Minerals PLC (LSE:TM1) named James Hannon as its new chief financial officer (CFO), taking effect on 11 April.
Hannon “has an extensive range of financial and corporate finance advisory experience ranging from private company mandates and private equity transactions to international IPOs,” according to a statement.
The 53-year-old previously held positions at GMP Securities Europe and Haywood Securities, as well as Price Waterhouse, Old Mutual Securities and Grant Thornton.
Hannon has CFO experience, having worked at Moydow Holdings Limited, a privately owned gold exploration business.
He currently acts as a director of Eurocap Financial Limited, a financial consulting service to the mining industry.
"It is great to be joining Technology Minerals and I look forward to supporting it to scale up operations and advance to a rapid-growth phase as it creates a fully circular economy for battery metals in the UK,” Hannon said.
“James has an excellent mix of capital markets experience and industry expertise that will complement the skillset of our management team and Board,” said chairman Robin Brundle.
Hannon will replace current CFO Nigel Ruddock, who will retire.
Ruddock made “significant” contributions to the business both pre- and post-IPO, including restructuring the accounting procedures which reduced the workload.
