Red Pine Exploration Inc (TSX-V:RPX, OTCQB:RDEXF) has posted more positive drill results from its flagship Wawa gold property in Ontario, which confirm the potential to expand the current resource.
One hole at the north end of the Surluga deposit, above the Jubilee shear zone, hit 40.07 grams per ton (g/t) over 1.18 metres (m) from 225.03m depth.
Meanwhile, drilling at the Grace-Nyman area, the host of the historical Darwin-Grace mine, continues to uncover new mineralized structures.
East of the Darwin-Grace mine, one hole discovered a shear zone containing a quartz vein with visible gold. Highlight assays from that hole included 13.14 g/t gold over 1m starting from 52.68m depth.

Another hole discovered multiple zones of gold mineralization west of the Jubilee Shear Zone in the Wawa gold corridor, said Red Pine. That includes the discovery of 9.30 g/t gold over 3.08m in one hole, from 312.41m depth, 300m west of the Jubilee Shear Zone.
These intersects of gold mineralization are hosted in a network of shear zones outside of the Jubilee Shear zone and extend the footprint of gold mineralization in the Wawa gold project.

With our 2022 Phase 1 drill program well underway, further assays pending and encouraging visible gold indicators in 5 holes as of the time of this press release, we look forward to sustained performance with the drill bit.," he added.
The firm's Wawa property, a brownfield site, covers nearly 7,000 hectares (Ha) and hosts several former mines with historic production of a combined 120,000 ounces (oz) of gold.
It also already hosts NI-43 101 compliant 700,000 indicated and inferred ounces across the Surluga and Minto mine south deposits at a grade of at least 5 g/t. In terms of location, it has Barrick Gold's Hemlo mine to the west and Newmont's Borden mine to the east - the two largest gold producers in the world.
