Critical Resources Ltd (ASX:CRR) has tapped Troy Galik as Canadian exploration manager, appointed to lead all in-country exploration programs.
The appointment will take effect on April 4, 2022, before the company begins a maiden drilling program at its Mavis Lake Lithium Project in Ontario, Canada.
Galik is a member of the Association of Professional Geoscientists of Ontario and received a Bachelor of Science in geological sciences from the University of Manitoba. He has experience in the Archean greenstone belts of Canada, with a particular focus on gold, copper, lithium and rare earths.
Professional geoscientist with local expertise

“Troy is a professional geoscientist who provides local expertise and has worked across a range of commodities within the Canadian Archean greenstone belts.
“His appointment will commence prior to the maiden Mavis Lake drill program and will be key to providing competent person supervision and reporting on the program including any future Canada-based exploration activities.

The Mavis Lake Lithium Project sits 19 kilometres east of the town of Dryden in Ontario. The project is close to transport and energy infrastructure, with access to a major rail network and hydropower.
Previous drilling programs have returned lithium oxide (Li2O) intercepts up to:
- 55.25 metres at 1.04% Li2O from 80.75 metres; and,
- 6.30 metres at 1.70% Li2O from 111.9 metres, including 7.70 metres at 2.97% Li2O from 130.5 metres
