Renforth Resources Inc (CSE:RFR, OTCQB:RFHRF) has revealed new assay results from recent drilling at the Victoria West target on its Surimeau property in Quebec.
The company sank just over 1,200 metres across seven holes within the 275 metre strike length of the stripped area of the target.
One hole assayed 3.46% nickel and 491 parts per million (ppm) cobalt over 1.5 metres within a broad mineralized zone of 170.55 metres, which averaged 0.16% nickel and 100.2 ppm cobalt.
According to Renforth, there are higher grade sub-zones within the broad zone of mineralization, similar to other holes drilled in the December program.

Renforth said its current interpretation of the mineralization at Victoria West is that there are higher grade bands of mineralization within the extent of the mineralized magnetic ultramafic body.
The “exceptional” 3.49% nickel value points to the high-grade potential present at Victoria West, Renforth told shareholders. The company has drilled 5,626 metres over 2.2 kilometres of strike within the known six-kilometre strike length of Victoria West, in the western end of a 20-kilometre-long magnetic feature also mineralized at its eastern end.
CEO Nicole Brewster told shareholders that the company is “very happy” with the results, which supports and increases its interest in Surimeau.
“We will soon drill again as we work to define not ‘whether’ there are battery metals within the six-kilometre-long Victoria West area, but instead, answer the question of just how well endowed with battery metals this ‘hiding in plain sight’ discovery really is,” Brewster said in a statement.
“We will also be prospecting, following up on the presence of lithium and REEs documented at Surimeau. I expect this property will continue to deliver excitement to Renforth's shareholders for the foreseeable future.”
Surimeau is a 260-square-kilometre property in northwestern Quebec that hosts numerous areas of polymetallic and gold mineralization.
