Lobe Sciences CEO Phillip Young joined Proactive to discuss the biotechnology's intention to develop a low-dose psilocybin combined with N-acetylcysteine (NAC), a dietary supplement derived from the amino acid L-cysteine, an antioxidant with cellular protective activities.
Young says the group looks to eventually develop a treatment for PTSD patients where they can administer the therapy at home, rather than spending hours within a clinical setting.
