LeanLife Health Inc has appointed veteran entrepreneur Robert Hall as a strategic board member to add to the team bringing the Mike Tyson-endorsed Iron Energy Drinks to the soft drink market across Canada and the US. Hall brings over 20 years of management experience to LeanLife, having previously raised significant seed funding and provided working capital to expand large-scale projects. In a statement, LeanLife said Hall will provide the company with a “more local presence.” Hall replaces Robert Chanson, who has resigned from the board of the Vancouver-based company.

Kontrol Technologies Corp (OTCQB:KNRLF, NEO:KNR), a leader in smart buildings and cities through IoT, Cloud and SaaS technology will report its fiscal 2021 financial results for the period to December 31, 2021 on March 31 this year. A 45-minute call to discuss the results has been scheduled for March 31 at 8.30am EST. This will be hosted by CEO Paul Ghezzi and CFO Claudio Del Vasto. The webcast can be accessed HERE.

Lifeist Wellness Inc said it ended its 2021 financial year with a strengthened balance sheet as the company shifted focus to B2B recreational cannabis and nutraceuticals. The company reported an improved cash balance of $12.7 million as of November 30, 2021, compared to $10.3 million a year earlier. During its fourth-quarter to end-November 30, gross margin also improved to 11% of net revenue compared to a negative 1.1% in the same year-ago period, which the company attributed to production efficiencies across all segments and the focus on higher value-added revenue streams in the B2B and recreational markets.

Valeo Pharma Inc has reported a 128% increase in revenue in the first quarter of 2022 compared to the same period in 2021 as the company continues to expand its business. In the three months to January 31, the company posted revenue of C$4.2 million, up from C$1.9 million in Q1, 2021, while the gross margin was up 266% to C$1.4 million, compared to the year-earlier period. However, its net loss widened to C$5.9 million compared to a loss of C$1.7 million in Q1, 2021 as the company's staff numbers and costs rose as it expanded its commercial, medical and support staff required to "capitalize on market opportunities" for its Redesca, Enerzair and Atectura drugs.

Versus Systems Inc said it has partnered with Tokyo-based advertising agency, Diplomat Sports & Entertainment Inc., to power interactive fan experiences for the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters at the Nippon Professional Baseball's 2022 season. The league is the highest level of professional baseball in Japan and the engagement further expands the company’s presence in international markets. "We are proud to be partnering with Diplomat Sports & Entertainment to deliver a fun, innovative, and engaging way for Japanese baseball fans to interact with their favorite teams and enable them to win real-world rewards," Matthew Pierce, founder and CEO of Versus Systems said in a statement.

Trees Corporation (NEO:TREE.AQN) said it has made amendments to its previously disclosed transaction to acquire five licensed retail cannabis stores on Vancouver Island, British Columbia from 1015712 B.C. Ltd (101). Among others, the amendments resulted in the immediate acquisition, by the company, of the Trees registered brand trademarks Trees also clarified certain matters governing the relationship between itself and 101 pending the closing of the acquisition of the remaining assets upon receipt of approval from the British Columbia Liquor and Cannabis Regulation Branch (LCRB). "With its high barrier of entry, Trees looks forward to soon solidifying its presence in the BC market through the closing of this transaction as a significant milestone to expanding the highly differentiated Trees brand," Jeff Holmgren, president and CFO of Trees, said in a statement.

Adastra Holdings (CSE:XTRX) Ltd said it has completed the submission of its application for a Controlled Drugs and Substances Dealer's License. The Dealer's License application was originally filed in September, 2021 with a Health Canada audit performed on March 9, 2022. Adastra responded to the agency’s request for more information and successfully submitted its Dealer's License application on March 23. Unless Health Canada comes back with an additional request for information, the company said it expects the license to be received by early April 2022.

Mobilum Technologies Inc has announced the appointment of Wallace Mathai-Davis to the company’s board of directors. Mobilum Technologies said Mathai-Davis has over 35 years of experience as a senior executive in international asset management and merchant banking, having been responsible for significant investment business and substantial investments in Latin America, Asia, Eastern Europe and the European Union, in addition to North America.

Gamesquare Esports Inc.and its subsidiary Complexity Gaming announced that Dennis "Cloakzy" Lepore - a leading Battle Royale content creator and former professional Fortnite competitor - has joined Complexity as an official creator and part-owner. The addition of Cloakzy strengthens Complexity's portfolio of talent, which includes top gaming personality Tim 'TimTheTatman' Betar and expands the organization's fandom to new audiences, according to a statement. "Joining Complexity and GameSquare unlocks new opportunities for me to push the limits of what's possible in content creation and build a deeper connection to my audience," said Cloakzy in a statement. GameSquare Esports Inc said it has signed a letter of intent for a US$5 million credit facility to be provided by an entity to be established by Goff Capital Inc and Blue & Silver Ventures Limited, a Jerry Jones owned company. The Toronto-based gaming and esports company said the credit facility will provide the company with additional access to capital to execute on its strategic priorities of developing profitable, cash flowing digital agencies, and a content creation organization as GameSquare businesses connect global brands with gaming fans. The credit facility would bolster the company's $7.7 million cash-on-hand as of December 31, 2021. GameSquare expects to complete negotiations and strike a definitive agreement pertaining to the credit facility in the coming weeks.

Global Energy Metals Corporation has announced the closing of the final tranche of a non-brokered private placement for aggregate gross proceeds of $165,625, subject to final acceptance of the TSX Venture Exchange. In total, 4,882,500 units were issued for both tranches of the private placement, for aggregate gross proceeds of C$1,220,625. In a statement, Global Energy Metals CEO and president Mitchell Smith commented: "We are very pleased to have completed this oversubscribed private placement. The placement was oversubscribed by a total of $220,625 above the original goal of $1 million. The additional interest in this placement signifies the continually increasing interest in not only the battery metals market but Global Energy itself. With the financing closed the companies' technical team can continue to advance our Nevada-based Lovelock and Treasure Box projects and all exploration planned for 2022."

Bioharvest Sciences Inc said it has granted a total of 482,000 stock options to consultants and employees. The stock options granted are exercisable to purchase a common share of the company at a price of 35 cents per share for a term of 10 years. The 482,000 stock options granted will vest as follows: 240,000 stock vesting quarterly over a three-year period, 215,000 vesting quarterly over a one-year period, 12,000 vesting monthly over a six-month period and 15,000 vesting monthly over a four-month period.
