Ximen Mining to kick off drilling at its Bud-Elk property in British Columbia in April

The company said the 2022 exploration program of trenching and drilling is designed to test targets for disseminated gold-copper mineralization

Ximen Mining Corp (TSX-V:XIM, OTCQB:XXMMF) has announced that it is planning to start drilling at its Bud-Elk property in British Columbia’s Greenwood Mining Camp in April 2022.

The company said the 2022 exploration program of trenching and drilling is designed to test targets for disseminated gold-copper mineralization.

Ximen noted that drilling is expected to start after the annual survey of species and ecosystems at risk is completed next month.

It added that the current permits allow for a total of 40 holes, or up to about 10,000 metres of drilling this year.

The Bud Elk property covers seven mineral occurrences, which includes past production of 230 ounces of gold, 837 ounces of silver and 23,637 pounds of copper from 2,637 tonnes, according to the company.

The company also reported that it has granted 1.5 million stock options, at an exercise price of $0.25, and one million restricted share units to its directors, officers, employees and consultants.

The options are exercisable for five years and will be cancelled 30 days after cessation of acting as director, officer, employee or consultant of the company.

Ximen’s two gold projects are the Gold Drop project and the Brett Epithermal Gold project. The company also owns the Treasure Mountain Silver Project, adjacent to the past producing Huldra Silver mine, and has the option to acquire the Kenville Gold Mine located in Nelson, British Columbia.
