Europa Metals starts geotechnical drilling across proposed future plant site at Toral project

It also announced positive results from X-Ray Transmission ore sorting testwork

Europa Metals Ltd (AIM:EUZ, JSE:EUZ, OTC:EOPAF) said it started geotechnical drilling across the proposed future plant site at its Toral lead-zinc-silver project in Spain.

The programme, which will collect data on the expected ground conditions at several proposed sites for a future plant, is expected to be completed in the coming weeks.

It also announced positive results from X-Ray Transmission ore sorting testwork, part of its ongoing metallurgical work programme for 2022, and said the sorting results for all the samples submitted were considered to be excellent.

"This latest round of metallurgical and geotechnical work streams will serve to expand our knowledge base on various aspects of the Toral project as part of the ongoing feasibility studies,” said chairman and interim chief executive Myles Campion.

“The next stage of resource drilling is aimed at enhancing the existing indicated resource estimate which can then be applied in mine scheduling under a pre-feasibility study environment."

The AIM-traded company said the ore sorting results enhanced the potential to efficiently exploit the resource at Toral.
