Brookside Energy charges ahead with drilling activity at Flames

Drilling operations at the well — the third in a trifecta of exploration prospects in a held-by-production program in the SWISH Area of Interest — are proceeding on schedule, safely and without incident.

Brookside Energy Ltd (ASX:BRK) is charging ahead with drilling activity at its high-impact Flames 3-10-1S-3W WXH1 oil and gas well in Oklahoma’s world-class Anadarko Basin.

Drilling operations at the well — the third in a trifecta of exploration prospects in a held-by-production program in the SWISH Area of Interest (AOI) — are proceeding on schedule, safely and without incident.

Surface casing has also been set and cemented in place, while Brookside is currently drilling ahead at a measured depth of roughly 7,665 feet towards the well’s immediate casing point.

From here, the oil and gas stock intends to land the curve leading to the well’s horizontal section, where it’ll continue drilling to targeted depth.

The story so far

Earlier this month, Brookside officially spudded the Flames well — its third high-impact target within the SWISH AOI, a key exploration portfolio in the Anadarko Basin.

The milestone came after Brookside rigged up and tested the Kenai 18 drill last week — the same rig that completed its high-impact Rangers well in just 31 days.

At the time, managing director David Prentice said: “It is very pleasing to see operations proceeding so promptly on this well, the final well in our held-by-production program in the SWISH AOI.

“Operationally, this is the busiest period in our company’s history with simultaneous operations on two of our 'core of the core' DSU’s in southern SCOOP; spudding the Flames Well and completing the Rangers Well for production at the same time.

“We are looking forward to keeping our shareholders and investors up to date over the coming weeks and months as we see these operations successfully concluded and those efforts turned into oil and gas sales.”

Brookside’s Flames drill program is fully funded to completion after the company picked up a $7.5 million funding runway from CPS Capital Group this month.
