Ximen Mining identifies gold and copper targets at Bud-Elk project in Greenwood camp, BC

Ximen told investors that the geophysical survey results "correlated with the bedrock geology" and that it has an exploration permit in place at the two properties for drilling from 24 sites

Ximen Mining Corp (TSX-V:XIM, OTCQB:XXMMF) has updated on exploration at its Providence and Bud-Elk properties in the Greenwood camp in British Columbia (BC), saying it has identified gold and copper targets at the latter project for further investigation.

It follows a review based on a helicopter flown VTEM geophysical survey over both assets.

Ximen told investors that the geophysical survey results "correlated with the bedrock geology" and that it has an exploration permit in place at the two properties for drilling from 24 sites.

Notably, multiple holes can be drilled from each of the sites and the current permits allow for a total of up to 14,000 meters (m).

Known mineralization in and around the Greenwood properties includes 24 occurrences of which 15 are historic mines, according to the BC Minfile database.

Copper-gold deposits occur in the west and are covered by the Bud-Elk property, while silver deposits occur in the east and are covered by The Providence group of claims.

The Motherlode copper-gold deposit is associated with a narrow linear conductive zone about 200m long just south of its recorded position, added Ximen. This area is a target for follow-up for extension of the Motherlode deposit.

As well as the Kenville gold mine asset in BC, Ximen has two other gold projects: the Gold Drop asset and the Brett Epithermal gold project. Ximen also owns the Treasure Mountain silver project, adjacent to the past-producing Huldra Silver (TSX-V:HDA) mine.
